Paula Firth moved to the Languedoc 2 years ago. This is her story :-

I had bought a house in the mountains, the situation was idyllic but the house and garden needed some work done to it. The builders for the previous owner knocked on my door and we communicated with the aid of my French/English dictionary and my daughter's schoolgirl French. Unfortunately the work was not to a high standard and the builders were unreliable. I also found out later that some of the quotes they had given me were ridiculously high.

Thank goodness I met another ex pat who recommended Advice Languedoc. Gerard and Tracy came in straight away, helped me sort out the building work, found me a reliable, English speaking plumber and even introduced me to my next door neighbour, who's daughter turned out to be an English language teacher!

My house is now as I wanted it to be, the garden is looking better and better, my French has improved and I am grateful to Advice Languedoc for their part in my installation and integration.
